Legacy
How you can support the Chalfont St Giles Memorial Hall?
A Legacy in your will
Regardless of the size, a legacy gift to the Memorial Hall would enable our Charity to continue to provide a communal centre to Chalfont St Giles.
Any gift, no matter how large or small, will make a lasting difference. So, if you or a loved one have benefitted from the warm and welcoming communal spirit of the Hall, you will know how important it is and may feel that you would like others to benefit in a similar way now and in the future.
Leaving a legacy in your own memory or in memory of a loved one would be a positive and enduring way to provide the same benefits to others who wish the Hall to continue to be a centre for our local community.
Below are some phrases which may help you and your legal advisor to draft a clause in your Will:
To leave a share of your estate
“I give % of my residuary estate free of all taxes to the Chalfont St Giles Memorial Hall, registered charity number 1163859 (or any successor charity a beneficiary of which is the Chalfont St Giles Memorial Halll), for its general purposes, and I declare that the receipt of a Trustee of the Chalfont St Giles Memorial Hall charity (or any such successor) shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees.”
To leave a fixed sum of money
“I give the sum of £ (pounds only) free of all taxes to the Chalfont St Giles Memorial Halll, registered charity number 1163859 (or any successor charity a beneficiary of which is the Chalfont St Giles Memorial Hall), for its general purposes, and I declare that the receipt of a Trustee of the Chalfont St Giles Memorial Hall charity (or any such successor) shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees.”
